Schools with endowments greater than 5 billion US dollars will pay more. This tiered rate reflects the support that faculty and students typically receive in colleges and universities with high endowment wealth. (These include Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, NYU, Brown, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, Chicago, Dartmouth, Duke, and a few others.) Faculty or students unable to access institutional support may choose to pay the lower wealth rates posted above.
Joint Member: Two members, one address, one copy of Sociological Forum.
Sustaining Member: This is a voluntary contribution for members who are able to give the society this level of financial support, thereby enabling us to continue to offer lower rates for students and others.
Regular Member: For members who don’t wish to pay the Sustaining Member rate. An option is available for senior and less senior faculty.
Emeritus Member: For retired members.

DEPARTMENT MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE!

We ask that your department renew its departmental membership with the Eastern Sociological Society – or to join for the first time if you have not been a member previously. More than ever, a departmental membership makes sense. As a department member you will be supporting an organization that not only serves the professional needs of the region’s major sociologists, but also the organization where most of us made our sociological debut – and where many of our students will enter the conference arena for the first time. Membership is also a rational choice – the benefits far outweigh the costs. Not only does your department receive Sociological Forum and all of our periodic electronic notices, but your students will benefit. Any undergraduate students from your institution who participate as presenters at the Annual Meeting will only have to pay the undergraduate registration fee. The normally-required student membership fee will be waived.

We hope you will consider a membership. We also offer multi-year membership as a cost savings. You can purchase for 2024 or for multiple years. The dues structure is:
