ESS was founded in 1930. We look forward to our 92nd Annual Meeting, March 10-13, 2022, Boston Park Plaza Hotel, under the leadership of President Rob Smith, Professor of Sociology, Immigration Studies and Public Affairs at the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York. 

We have just completed our first ever entirely virtual meeting: our 91st Annual Meeting, February 18-21, 2021.  Under the leadership of our (now Past) President, Jennifer Lee, Julian Clarence Levi Professor of Social Sciences, Columbia University, and the dedication of the Program Committee, the Executive Committee, and our student volunteers and intern, we experienced a tremendously successful meeting. Thank you to the Program Committee, the Executive Committee, and to our members-at-large for your commitment to ESS and to the discipline of Sociology. .
