Full time, Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology, Lebanon Valley College

 

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a full time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology beginning in August, 2017. This position has a 3 / 4 teaching load in the first year and includes teaching research methods at the 300 or Junior level as well as substantive course in Family Studies.  The Family Studies courses will include both 200 level substantive courses and advanced studies courses at the 300 and 400 level.  An open area of specialization is also invited. Interested candidates should have an excellent record of teaching at the undergraduate level and will be asked to provide a demonstration of teaching effectiveness as part of a successful interview process. Prior experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to inclusive excellence is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also possess a Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field. ABD’s will be considered but must have completed the doctorate before the starting date.
