3-Year Visiting Assistant Professor, Vassar College


The Vassar College Department of Sociology invites applications for a three-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2016. The area of specialty is open, but we are especially interested in supplementing our course offerings on race and ethnicity. Applicants will be expected to teach the department’s theory-based Introductory Sociology course. The teaching load is five courses per year. This position includes the opportunity to teach in one or more of the multidisciplinary programs on campus. Candidates must have completed the Ph.D. in Sociology or a related multidisciplinary field before July 1, 2016.
